Round 7, Philip Island leaves Bramich on top

Nail-biting finish to the bitter end is what the Australian Supersport 300 Championship has become famous for and the weekend's racing didn't disappoint. It was exceptionally close, right up until the end.where up and coming Tom Bramich JLT, Yamaha YZF-R3) crossed the finished line to take out the 2018 Championship in the Australian Supersport 300 in Round 7 at Philips Island Grand Prix circuit.

Fans were stoked to see Bramich take out first at the 2018 Australian Supersport 300 Championship. In second was Zac Levy, who managed to stay off the radar right until the last laps where he came into his own and rocketed into second place.

In third place and her first time ranking in the top three was Tayla Relph (Baldivis Forklifts, Yamaha YZF-R3). At one stage she was even out front, but couldn't quite execute the finish.

It was a race with quite a few spills that saw four competitor crash out of the competition.

Race Three

Race three practically followed in the footsteps of race two and it was edge-of-your-seat-racing right to the end.

Locky Taylor (Shark Leathers, Yamaha YZF-R3) was on form and manage to edge out his rivals to take top spot. It was like watching a different rider compared to his earlier race. He ended the day with 293 points.

Hot on the heels of Taylor and securing race three's second place was Oli Bayliss who had a DNF during the earlier race due to a crash. Third place went to Seth Crump who accrued 295 points.

After Race three, Bramich secured first place on 418 points after dominating each race throughout the weekend. In second place on 379 points was Levy, who despite his best efforts to catch Bramich, didn't quite manage to edge him out of the competition. Finally, third place went to Ford who by the end of the weekend had accrued 336 points overall.
